The SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA ANGUS ASSOCIATION “More for Your Money Sale” 33rd Annual Angus Sale was held 10/22/05 at the Umberger Sale Facility on the Danny Umberger farm in Wytheville,Virginia.Sixy-two lots of registered Angus cattle went through the sale ring to gross $152,550 for an average of $2,460 per lot. The top selling bred heifers of the sale were a consignment of Double M Farm, H.J. and Christa Denney of Dublin,Va..One was a Sitz Alliance 6595 daughter[15083796] bred to calve 12-5-05 to the service of LT 598 Bando 904; she sold to Spring Valley Farm,Kevin Moore of Abingdon,Va. for $3,300. The other top selling bred heifer was also a consignment of Double M Farm;she was a daughter[15078526] of Alberta Traveler 416 and she is bred to B C C Bushwacker 41-99,due to calve 12-6-05. She also brought $3,300 and sold to Spring Valley Farm in Abingdon,Va.

The top selling cow/ calf pair was a of consignment of Virginia Tech of Blacksburg, Va. the cow was a three-year old daughter[14175802] of Roths Millcreek Unique bred to calve 1-24-06 to G A R Yield Grade and she sold for $2,700, to Smith Angus Farm in Cleveland,Va.Her 1-23-05 bull calf [15055712] sired by WAR Alliance 9126 6006 sold for $1,650 to Rankin Farm of Jefferson City, Tennessee. Total of the pair was $4,350.The second top selling pair was a consignment of Lynn Lew Farm, L. N. Webb Jr. of Radford,Va.,the cow was a four year old Stevenson Royce 741 C daughter [13982691] bred to Boyd New Day 8005 and sold to Veda Olde of Marion,Va.for $2,000.Her 1-31-05 heifer calf [15087488] sired by Sitz Alliance 6595 sold for $1,150 also to Veda Odle,of Marion,Va.Total of this pair was $ 3,150.We had 38 buyers from the 93 people who registered for a buyers number.Cattle sold into Virginia.North Carolina, West Virginia and Tennessee. Volume buyers were Spence Brothers of Saltville,Va., Don Matney of Richlands,Va.,Andy Williams of Marion,Va,and Veda Odle of Marion,Va.Smith Reasor of Rural Retreat,Va. was the AUCTIONEER and George T.
